Par 3 double play

August 14, 2014

My wife decided to visit her sister-in-law in Omaha for a crafting day, so I went along to play some courses in their area of west Omaha. I have a lot of Omaha courses left to play.  My first stop was at Milt's Golf Center near 72nd and Q. It has a very large lighted driving range and a 9 hole par 3 course with holes from 80 to 195 yards. The challenge was the "silver dollar" size elevated greens. The course was completely flat with a pond coming into play on two holes, but it was a good exercise for the short irons onto small targets.

Next stop was the Westwood Heights golf course near 130th and West Center. It is an Omaha Parks public 9 hole par 3 course.  It had holes ranging from 90 to 175 yards with large, well manicured greens and a creek meandering through the center of the course coming into play on 4 holes.

Scoreboard: 71 courses played

Miles Driven: 140

Total Miles since 7/21/2014: 290
